Our story began in 2004 when Günter Obiltschnig, our founder, started working on the POCO C++ Libraries open source project. In the following years, the POCO C++ Libraries became one of the most used appreciated libraries in the C++ ecosystem.
Combining his love for C++ and Linux-based embedded devices, Günter then went on to create the frameworks and libraries that would form the foundation for our current products, macchina.io REMOTE and macchina.io EDGE.
Today, millions of devices run our software.
Our guiding principle is that
software engineering should be about managing complexity, not creating it.
